Chef Angelo has worked around the world. More than just cook for customers, he has always wanted to introduce to his guests the idea that Italian food is CULTURE, something you cannot just buy but have to grow into to truly appreciate. This SLOW FOOD experience arose from wanting to move away from more commercial experiences of food to truly going back to his amazing family roots in the Campania region of Southern Italy. To recall the very deeply ingrained art of Southern Italian hospitality and generosity with his mamma, Lillina, papà Salvatore, and sisters Clelia and Rosaria. To them, it did not matter how much you earned: around the dinner table, what mattered were the loving relationships you created and nurtured in your community. Many of the recipes delve deep into family traditions.
You will experience no molecular "foams," passing fads, or gimmicks...the Supper Club focuses on Italian regional tastes and foodways that have stood the test of time, patience, authenticity and love.

The exclusive pop-up SUPPER CLUB ITALIANO occurs at Chef Angelo's own home in Simi Valley. It is not just a culinary experience, but a cultural experience of the best of Italian family hospitality.
You will feel surrounded by family, friends (with additional loving visits from Chef Angelo's four loving Siberian Huskies).

In a digitally connected world that seems all the more disconnected, this all-evening experience is about offline, off-screen quality time with new amici and old, as you watch and interact with Chef Angelo while he cooks for you as if you are famiglia. You can expect a whole lot of food, history and culture all connected by an embodied feeling of having found YOUR ITALIAN HOME in California!

Typically, once you are welcomed alla casa, you will experience the complete hospitality of a true Italian home, with an initial aperitivo (drinks and small finger foods), conversations and introductions to the whole group followed by a sit-down meal full of laughter, conversation and a carefully curated three course meal (primo, secondo, dolce) with side dishes (contorni).​

The hope is to truly understand and fall in love with the essence of Italian food culture - it is all about friendships and the family you choose to make and nuture!

To keep this experience exclusive, Chef Angelo mostly relies on good ol' word-of-mouth as amici let amici know about what the felt in their heart and stomach at a supper club :) So...spread the love and let the people you love know about this experience.

What to Expect
1) You will be welcomed to the Supper Club and will get to know your Chef, his multispecies family, and your fellow supper clubbers (minimum 7 persons, maximum 15)
2) Introductions and conversation will flow with carefully curated aperitivi - a pre-dinner course with drinks (BYOB) and small finger foods.
3) Time slows down, Italian-style. This is a slow food experience. No rush, no schedule, il dolce far niente (sweet doing nothing) while being in good company!
4) The sit down meal will follow, featuring cultural and historical details of the food served, and with laughter, conversation and good times overall!
5) Goodbyes rarely happen here, it is arrivederci (see you soon again!)

Culinary Experience
Food is culture.
This experience will be a guided one not only to consumer or be a "tourist" with a superficial idea of Italian culture, but a profound and enjoyable experience of what it means to experience food all'italiana - slowing down, discovering details of your meals, the harmony of flavor, history and good in-person company that we are losing in our digitally connected world and we crave for...this all is integrated into every bite.

All meals are carefully curated taking into consideration any dietary restrictions and communicated to the whole group beforehand.
Cultural and Emotional Experience
Along with stories and anecdotes on Italian history and culture, participants and encouraged to bring their own creative passions to share with other supper clubbers - you may be good at telling jokes, or dancing, or singing or playing a musical instrument. Share your passions and love with the group!
As typical in Italy, with family. there is no judgement, just enjoyment and support towards creating and sharing art in good company!
